Description

An archaeological evaluation conducted on land adjacent to Smithy Field at No Man's Heath. The six trial trenches revealed the remains of a house and smithy recorded on the tithe Map of 1838. Material recorded included four large sandstone blocks and a single sherd of pottery which may indicate earlier origins for the site (1).
