Description
A rescue excavation (November 1989) and a watching brief (March 1990) undertaken on the site of Willaston Old Hall, near Nantwich. The archaeological fieldwork was carried out by Susan Reynolds for Cheshire County Council in advance of the construction of the Nantwich A500 bypass. A geophysical survey by the ancient monuments laboratory, English Heritage, and an earthwork survey by the RCHME, Keele, were also undertaken.
