Description
Desk-based assessment undertaken in 1994 in advance of the development of an area of agricultural land adjacent to, and west of, Junction 22 of the M6 motorway at Winwick. Only one feature of archaeological interest was identified this being the present Merseyside/Cheshire boundary. This comprises a possible medieval parish boundary dating to before 1839 as is evidence by cartographic evidence. (1)
