Description
Archaeological watching brief undertaken in October and November 1993 at the White Hall moated site, Wilmslow. This work occurred during groundworks carried out in preparation for the construction of the Wilmslow Local By-Pass. The location of the moat was identified after topsoil stripping, three sample sections through the moat were then mechanically excavated and recorded. The lowest, water-logged fill of the moat contained eighteenth century material indicating an eighteenth century or later date. (1)
