Description

Desk-based archaeological assessment, supplemented with field observation, in advance of the development of a golf course at Sutton Hall Farm, Sutton Weaver. Six areas of archaeological potential were identified including the site of a potential Roman road, a possible prehistoric site, a complex of features relating to two medieval watermills, a possible industrial site connected with the construction an operation of the Weaver Navigation, medieval field boundaries.
