Description
During first visit (16.12.02) ground clearance by machine underway. Much modern debris in topsoil. Some underlying clay exposed. No evidence of archaeological deposits.
Visited again on 10.01.03 when footings for new buildings being dug. Section marked in red on plan observed. All that was visible was truncated topsoil over clean natural clay. No archaeaological features and no significant artifacts in topsoil.
