Description
A planimetric survey undertaken of a linear earthwork located in Millington between Booth Bank and Millington Hall. The earthwork was believed to be a mill dam. The survey indicated that the dam is about 5 metres high and about 10 metres wide. The western (?) side of the valley from the dam could not be accurately surveyed due to the density of trees on the opposite slope. However, the gap between the dam and the opposite bank was in excess of 10 metres. No direct evidence for the mill building was discovered.
