Description
Observations made during extension to the cellar at Browns Department Store, three substantial stanchion bases of concrete along the western side of already destroyed a significant proportion of the archaeology however a stone building of at least two phases had existed in the area with evidence of a hypocaust attributed to the first phase. A number of coins from throughout the Roman period were also recovered (1).
