Description
Excavations in 1949 recorded turf rampart recorded with evidence to suggest there was no timber revetment at this point. The base of the rampart was lined with logs to minimise movement of the rampart. Behind the rampart was a large oven with an ashpit and working platform extending for over 8.5m.
