Description
Limited excavations following chance finds made during the installation of a water-ram circa 1934. H.M. Forestry Commissioners required that any excavations were confined to narrow cuts between the lines of larch trees. Glass in varying states of manufacture was recovered along with the red brick floor of a possible furnace. It wasn’t possible to investigate this feature further.
