Description
Field walking in January 1984 recovered a large collection of post-Roman pottery from ploughed fields at Upper Bereton Park Farm kilns. The bulk of the finds dated to the 18th-19th centuries, however, addtionally, some 70 fragments of medieval pottery were recovered. Within this group were pieces showing signs of firing disasters during manufacture. The wide range in form and decoration suggest a 13th century date.
