Description

Holywell Close LL21 (Previously LL PG/2) Address: 1-6 Holywell Close, Parkgate Architect: Not known Date: c1875 Description A row of 6 sandstone cottages, possibly built as Almshouses or for retired fishermen. Pitched roof, Welsh blue slate, sandstone chimney stacks. Coursed Ashlar sandstone walls with projecting stone sills to first floor windows. Horizontally proportioned windows divided into two or four vertically proportioned hinged casements containing square leaded light glass. Hipped slate covered projecting porches to ground floor entrance doors and side light. Attractive “English Country Gardens” to front. Condition Good Current use In use as domestic dwellings.
