Description

Converted Barn at Thornton Mews LL12 (Previously LL CH/2) Address: Chester Road, Childer Thornton Architect: Not known (Thornton estate) Date: c1820 Description An unusually long and tall barn, sandstone plinth, red Cheshire common brick walls, decorative brick panelling to east end gable mimicking earlier timber frame construction, slate roof. Barn now converted to 3 dwellings, windows to first floor with 3 glazed former pitch holes with sandstone sills. 3 modern canopy porches and 2 chimney stacks. Condition Good. Current use In use as dwellings. Updated April 2007
