Description
Redbrick building supported on large cast iron frame. Originally part of the King Mill Company, one of three large milling companies that occupied this site c.1900 and (with Manchester) supplied most of the northwest with flour. Mills were vacant after World War 2 and were burnt down in a series of fires in the 1970’s. This flat roofed building is the only remaining one of the large mills that occupied the site.
Condition
Poor with unsightly additions
Use
Empty since sheet metal manufacturers left on 25/03/2008.
