Description

The Watch House LL66 (Previously LL PG/7) Address: The Parade, Parkgate Architect: HM Customs & Excise Date: 17th century Description Probably 17th century with later additions. Pitched slated roof, pebbledashed walls painted white. 2 storey with 1 storey wing, external steps up to front entrance. Interior stone staircase. Strategically placed alongside the slipway to allow Customs Officers to see the comings and goings of crews coming ashore in small boats from ships anchored off Parkgate in the Dee Estuary. Condition Good. Current Use In use as a domestic dwelling. Updated March 2007
