All buildings in dark brown brick in Flemish bond with clay-tiled roof. Hipped roof structure on vernacular style dwellings links loosely to Arts and Crafts style. The long central building is the grandest of the three: It is seven bays wide and has a stone-capped parapet above the central five. Brick band to the centre, decorative brickwork to chimneys and corners (leaning towards Deco details). First floor sliding sash windows are divided in 16 panes, ground floor are taller and divided into 20. All windows have flat brick arch lintels and sandstone sills. Sandstone cases with an Italianate pediment surround the two 8-panelled double entrance doors. The Cheshire crest features above the central first floor window. The two walled houses are joined to either end of the main building by a walled corridor. The houses are three bays wide with a projecting gable nearest the main building, giving formal symmetry to the group. A grand central stairway with deco balustrade and double height windows overlooking a central courtyard leads to the first floor. This floor contains an impressive courtroom with wooden panelling to the height of the bottom window sills. Condition Good. Current use Currently vacant. Updated January 2007
