Description

Willaston Village Hall LL59 (Previously LL WN/1) Address: The Green, Willaston Architect: Not known Date: 1920? Description Church hall with entrance porch, link to matching late extension. A pastiche of historic styles. Pitched concrete tile roof to hall (recent replacement) with natural slate to extension. Black and white mock Tudor jettied gable to end elevations, 2 no similar blind gables to north elevation. Ground floor of random coursed Ashlar sandstone with 4 no buttresses to north side. Sandstone moulded “decorated” style rounded arch windows to ground floor with small oblong pane leaded lights. Imitation exposed trenal (tree nail) fixings to “joints” of false timbering. Condition: Good. Current Use: In use as Village Hall. Updated November 2006
