With the main phase of construction completed in 1869. The walls are of Flemish bonded red brick with blue brick bands and alternating blue and red shaped voussoirs around the oculus and lancet windows. Plate tracery of the windows, the arched porch, corbels and decorative bands are smooth dressed stone with some foliate carving. The roof is well laid slate in regular courses.
