Town house, now office. c1780. Flemish bond brown brick with grey slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Painted stone plinth, raised over a replaced 1-pane cellar window; recessed porch, east, in case with pilasters of Ionic derivation and pediment has 4 stone steps to door of one horizontal panel above 4 fielded panels, and overlight with Victorian stained glass; 2 recessed sashes to first storey and 3 to each upper storey have glazing bars removed; painted stone sills and wedge lintels; cornice; 2 west gable chimneys. The rear has a long irregular 2-storey extension, east; the west portion of the main block projects slightly with a bowed face to the rear, a tripartite sash of 5;15;5 panes to the first storey, a replaced 2-pane sash to each upper storey and, above the junction with the rear wing, a replaced fixed light to the upper landing. INTERIOR: the front room of the first storey has architraves to door and windows with roses at top corners; door of 5 fielded panels; archway to stairwell. The rear room in main block has door of 5 fielded panels, a fireplace with short Doric pilasters, a bowed rear wall and a cornice; the open-string stair has a curtail step, stick balusters and a swept handrail with wreath at base; the second storey front room has panels beneath window and in embrasure; cornice. The rear room in the main block has a bowed rear wall with panelled embrasure to sash; doors of 5 fielded panels; the stair continues to the third storey which has doors of 4 fielded panels.
