2 town houses, now offices. Probably early C18, altered. Rendered; grey slate roof has ridge parallel with the street. EXTERIOR: cellars and 3 storeys. Painted plinth, probably of stone; rusticated quoins; a heavy door of 8 fielded panels in a restored or replaced panelled pilaster doorcase to each of the 2 former houses; an inserted or altered carriage entrance, west; 3 replaced small 9-pane sashes to the first storey. Plain band at second storey floor; 6 recessed 12-pane sashes with exposed boxes and heads and thick quadrant-moulded glazing bars; band at third storey floor; 6 sashes similar to those in second storey; cast lead rainwater head and pipe centrally placed; moulded cornice. The rear, with replaced metal windows, has no visible features of interest. INTERIOR: the hall to No.11 is altered; doors of 6 fielded panels to the back hall, from front room to back room and from back hall to back room; the back room has 2 basket-arched alcoves with fluted pilasters, 2 beams with moulded plaster faces and moulded cornice; the stair to the second storey has surfaces covered; doors of 6 fielded panels to front room, east, and rear room which has a C18 carved wood fire surround with shouldered architrave; the top flight of the stair to the third storey has turned newels, 2 turned balusters per step and a deep handrail, all painted. Features in the west house are largely covered. The cellars have coursed sandstone outer walls, brick wine-bins and concreted floors.
