Medieval undercroft, now shop. Altered 1864 and C20. Sandstone. Modern shopfront; the vigorously moulded painted sandstone pier forms part of the rebuilding of 1864 by Edward Hodkinson for the second Marquis of Westminster. The cellar is rock cut, probably 1864. The shop is largely lined, but lower medieval squared sandstone rubble masonry is exposed in the lower part of the south wall; the upper part of the wall is re-surfaced or rebuilt.
