Town house. c1720, with later addition and alterations. Flemish bond brown brick with grey slate roofs. EXTERIOR: 3 storey main block of 2 windows with western 2 storey extension of 2 windows, externally probably late C18, west, described separately. The main block has painted stone plinth, rusticated quoins to south-west corner of first and second storeys, door of 6 fielded panels with pedimented hood on consoles, a flush 12-pane sash west of door and a replaced horned 16-pane sash east of door, painted second-storey floorband, two 16-pane sashes east of door, painted third-storey floorband, 2 square 6-pane sashes and a brick parapet with plain stone coping. The windows have painted stone sills and gauged brick heads. The west wing has a low plinth of painted stone; flush sashes, 2 of 12 panes to the raised first storey and 2 of 6 panes to the second storey. The rear of the main block has flush quoins to north-west corner, a replaced tripartite sash to the first storey, a Gothick tripartite sash to the second storey with 'intersecting tracery' glazing bars to each light; a replaced 9-pane sash to the third storey; parapet gable. The rear of the west wing is irregular; back doorway; a central one-storey outshut and a 2-storey rear wing, east; a 16-pane sash; a rear chimney. INTERIOR: oak cellar door of 2 fielded panels; doors of 4 fielded panels; shutters in embrasures; a good early C18 open-well open-string stair with shaped brackets, 3 turned balusters per step and heavy oak rail with rose.
