CHESTER CITY (EM) SJ4066 QUEEN'S PLACE 1932-1/6/238 (West side) 10/01/72 Nos.2 AND 4 (Formerly Listed as: QUEEN STREET No.47) (Formerly Listed as: QUEEN STREET No.49) GV II 2 town houses. c1780. Flemish bond brown brick; grey slate roof. 3 storeys. Painted stone plinth. Stone steps, two to No.2 and one to No.4, to recessed doors of 6 fielded panels in simple pedimented cases. Flush sashes, painted stone sills and wedge lintels with triple keystones. 2 tripartite 4;12;4-pane sashes between doors; No.2 has two 12-pane sashes to first floor and a tripartite 2;6;2-pane sash to second floor; No.4 has a 4;12;4-pane sash to first floor and a 2;6;2-pane sash to second floor; central rainwater pipe with cast lead head; painted cornice probably of stone; central ridge chimney. The rear is irregular, with a large back wing to No.2 and a small one to No.4; flush sashes of 12, 8, 6 and 4 panes under cambered brick heads. INTERIORS not inspected. Listing NGR: SJ4083166608
