Pair of suburban houses. c1850. Stone-dressed Flemish bond brown brick; grey slate roof, ridge parallel with front. Late Georgian style. 2 storeys, 4 windows. No.51 has door of 2 tall panels with 1-pane overlight in painted stone case with cornice hood; front doorway to No.53 bricked up; blue brick plinth; recessed sashes in painted stone architraves; sash with bars removed to No.51; 12-pane sash to No.53. First floor sillband; four 12-pane sashes in architraves; 1-course band at lintel level; cyma gutter-cornice on painted stone brackets; hipped roof with 2 plinthed ridge chimneys. The left end to No.53 has a 12-pane sash in architrave to each storey, that to ground floor with one glazing-bar missing; inserted door to No.53 in small rear wing. INTERIORS not inspected.
