8/71 Former Eaton Railway 9/71 Engine Shed 100 metres north of Eaton Hall Cottages

Narrow Gauge Railway Engine Shed, circa 1895. Red brick walls with grey slate roof over shed and with cantilevered canopy (along east side) on 9 shaped timber brackets. Half-timbered end gables. Framed and boarded double doors at north end. The shed housed the locomotives of the private Eaton Estate railway which linked with the public system at Balderton. (Gervas Huxley).
