GV (formerly listed as gate piers GV south of lower terrace in front of Bolesworth Castle under Chorley
Pair of gate piers 1829, by William Cole for George Walmesley. Red sandstone Gothick piers with a recessed trefoil above an arched sinking flanked by blank arrow-slits to each face and capped with stone balls above projecting friezes with cyma cornices.
