9/80 Railing to north side of Middle Terrace

Panelled Railing, circa 1810, by William Porden for 2nd Earl Grosvenor, removed from the west forecourt of the Hall and incorporated in Detmar Blow's east garden for 2nd Duke of Westminster, circa 1911. Moulded plinth, buttressed piers and shaped copings of grey stone contain cast iron Gothick panels with shields bearing coats of arms in cusped quatrefoils. Similar railings south of terrace (q.v.).
