Description

SJ 4160 EATON C.P. EAST GARDEN TO HALL Eaton Park 9/78 Statue (Stag at Bay) north of Canal on Central Terrace GV II Statue, 1852, by Raymond Smith for 2nd Marquis of Westminster. Pale grey stone on a red sandstone plinth. Stag at bay, antlers held by huntsman in Classical dress and with 3 hounds, attacking. Forms one of a pair of large statuary groups incorporated in Detmar Blow's design for the east garden (see also next item). Listing NGR: SJ4150260712
