3/1 Lodge to Backford Hall
II
Lodge 1863 presumably by John Cunningham. Red brick with diaper work, stone plinth and dressings, slate roof. 1½ storey L shaped plan, each arm has shaped gable. Ground floor sash windows, some have central mullion. 1st floor has some round windows, some square. In south west angle is gabled porch with moulded stone parapet, bearing date 1863, above EHG monogram. Stone doorway has cambered arch and flat panel. Door has 4 key shaped panel, upper two are glazed. Stone kneelers, and quoins.
