Country House. Mid/Late C18. Red English garden wall bond brick with ashlar dressings. Entrance front: Mid C18 portion to right. Basket archway to ground floor with ashlar quoins and voussoirs with projecting triple keystone now blocked and containing C20 window. Ashlar band at level of springing of arch. Similar band above at level of sill of tri-partite first floor window which has ashlar surround. Shallow pedimental gable above with stone coping and kneelers containing circular brick panel (most probably originally window, now blocked) with bolection moulded ashlar surround. To left of this is a slightly recessed portion of two bays. Central ground floor door with moulded wooden case. Ground floor windows to either side of 4 x 4 sash panes with flat-arched heads and two similar to first floor. To left of this is a C19 projecting semi-octagonal bay with stone base and flat arched heads to windows which show that the openings have been extended at the sides at some time and possibly lowered. Double glass doors to front and angles. First floor sash windows of 4 x 4 panes with flat arched heads. Doorway to left of this with fanlight in panelled wooden surround with first floor sash window of 4 x 4 panes. To left of this a projecting bay with ashlar base and blind two-storey arch having ashlar quoins and band at level of springing. There is an ashlar cornice above of cyma outline. Left hand reveal: three bays symmetrically disposed with ashlar plinth. Also ashlar piers to extreme right and left and projecting central bay flush with brick walling and at ground floor level only. Central basket arch containing sunken brick panel with window of 4 x 4 sash panes. Ashlar band at level of springing of arch confined to ashlar piers at centre and sides. To left and right are sash windows of 4 x 4 panes. Stone band at level of first floor window sills at which level the stone piers cease. Central sash window of 4 x 4 panes with tri-partite windows to either side (probably of later date being horned sashes). Ashlar cornice above of cyma profile and open pediment to centre with stone surround. To the left of this is a C19 single storey two-bay addition, with hipped roof. Rear: Slightly projecting wing at left similar to that at right of entrance front. Scattered fenestration to right of this including three C20 arched staircase windows.
