Description

SJ 98 SW POYNTON-WITH-WORTH C.P. LONDON ROAD NORTH (East Side) 3/111 No.50 II Lodge: early C19. Roughcast brick on buff sandstone plinth; pyramidal Welsh slate roof, central plastered chimney. Square in plan. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-bay north front. End bays have fixed, iron 12-pane windows with blocked circular lights above. Door in moulded wooden frame in recess under semi-circular headed arch with raised keystone. Above is a raised band then a 9-pane wooden casement in a low upper storey. To the sides, niches flank the blocked semi-circular headed brick arch. Formerly lodge to Poynton Hall (demolished mid C19). Listing NGR: SJ9214883976
