The above item numbers shall be amended and the following description added: Nos 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14 Oak Cottages Incorporating former No 9 and No 12. Terrace of 7 mill workers' cottages, now 5 cottages. SJ 88 SW WILMSLOW FORMER U.D. ALTRINCHAM ROAD (South Side) Styal 1/252 Nos 8-14 (consec) Oak Cottages. 6/3/1975 GV II Terrace of 7 mill workers' cottages, c.1820 for Samuel Greg with C20 restoration. English garden wall bond red brick. Welsh slate roof and 7 brick chimneys. Rectangular block of 2 unit cottages. 2-storey (over basement), 14-bay east front. Windows are 2-light restored iron small-pane casements under cambered brick heads. Similar heads over board doors approached by flights of 4 stone steps with wrought iron balusters. 3 of the doors have hoods (I gabled, 2 lean-to) on wooden brackets. Pairs of small pane windows light basement. A terrace belonging to the 2nd phase of the development of the industrial village. Listing NGR: SJ8394581126
