Description

PEOVER SUPERIOR C.P. (Off) CINDER LANE SJ 77 SE 5/55 Railway viaduct c.150 yards north-west of Batemill Farm - II Railway viaduct. c.1842. Red and blue brick laid in a bond of alternating headers and stretchers. Stone dressings. East side: Ten semi-circular arches springing from rectangular piers. The three arches to the right and the two to the left set upon the embankment sides. Six full piers rising from the valley floor. These full piers have slightly projecting plinths with stone dressings to their tops. Stone string courses at the level of the springing of the arches. Stone band below parapet and stone coping and panelled end piers to parapet. Listing NGR: SJ7979572307
