Lodge cottage: C1850. Rock-faced red sandstone with buff sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof and 2 stone chimneys with pairs of octagonal stacks. Tudor Gothick style. Cross shaped plan. 1+-storey 2-bay front. Left end bay projects under coped gable. Porch further projects and has a rectangular chamfered doorcase with a label mould. Pierced circular panels support heavy coping to balcony above. Windows to side of porch are triple round headed lights on colonnettes. In right end bay further chamfered doorcase. To left side is a triangular bay with a similar balustraded parapet.
