C17. Altered and much restored, Narrow gabled front is largely C19 sham "black and white" to earlier timber frame revealed internally; 2 storeys and attic in gable; slight overhangs at 2nd storey and at gable; C19 rectangular oriel window fitted with plain casements; plain restored barge boards; stone slate roof. Modern shop fronts. Interior much altered but portions of original timber framing exposed throughout. No 5. Town Hall and Nos 7 to 11 (odd) form a group.
