Description

1. 5144 SJ 86 SE 5/46 BUGLAWTON PEOVER LANE Crossley Hall 28.7.50 II 2. late C16 or early Cl7. Restored. Timber frame with some wattle and daub but mainly with restored brick infilling and some sham painted timber frame; 2 storeys; windows C18-C19 casements with forked glazing bars; central doorway with oak iron-studded doors hung on wrought iron strap hinges; gabled ends, each with massive stone chimney having restored brick stacks; old stone slates. Ground storey has good moulded ceiling beams. Probably once the hall of a subordinate manor to Buglawton. Listing NGR: SJ8918564980
