Farmhouse, 1768 (stone tablet at eaves level) but with late C17 origins. Red brick, in stretcher bond, with roof of slates laid with diminishing courses and hand made tiles. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Mainly 3-light flush casements with centre glazing bars, stone sills and segmental arches with turning pieces, ground floor, and in gabled dormers at first floor level. Boarded door in heavy frame fronted by early C19 gabled brick porch with segmental arch and barge boards. Stone tablet at eaves inscribed T.B.H. with the date. The original oak wallplate shows at the rear (north). Rear roof slope of old slates. Added brick outshut of red brick, with slates of constant size at the rear. Gable barge boards and blue clay ball finials to gables and dormers. Stacks set back one bay from gable-ends. Old saddleback ridge tiles. Interior: Deep bevelled and stop chamfered beams, inglenook beam. Boarded doors on HL hinges. At first floor level wide boarded doors on strap hinges in heavy dowelled frames. Exposed bevelled purlins.
