Description

NEWHALL C.P. DODS GREEN LANE SJ 64 SW 7/65 Grindley Green Cottage 29-6-79 - II House, formerly farmhouse. C17. Timber framed with brick and wattle and daub infill and corrugated iron roof (originally thatched). Entrance front: 11 x 3 cells of uneven small framing with three 2-light ground floor casement windows and a doorway to left of centre. To the upper walling are panels of wattle and daub infill. Chimney stacks to right and left hand gable ends of renewed brickwork. Left hand side: C19 lean-to to ground floor. Right hand side: of brick with doorways at left and right and two 2-light windows to left and right at first floor level. Rear: obscured by C19 outshuts. Interior: the ground floor rooms have chamfered ceiling beams and an ingle nook fireplace. Listing NGR: SJ6074343457
