SJ 75 SE BARTHOMLEY C.P. RADWAY GREEN ROAD
6/12 Bank Cottage (formerly listed as Cottage 12.1.67 75 yds N of White Lion) II Formerly pair of cottages, now one dwelling, early C17 with alterations. Brick nogged timber frame with tile roof. Single storey and attic, 3 window bays. Symmetrical small framing with angle braces to front and rear. Gables mainly of brickwork. Ledged and battened door in frame with ogee head. There is a further matching shaped head in the built up panel east. Blue brick replacement plinth and inserted ground sill. Replaced ground floor casements with some leaded lights. Two gabled dormers with lattice casements and barge boards. Courses of shaped tiles in the roof. Stacks with sinkings dividing the flues and blue brick caps. Interior: Timbers in internal walls, ovolo moulded and bevelled beams and exposed joists.
