6/2 The White Lion Inn

Public House, 1614 (carved on door head). Brick nogged timber frame and brickwork with thatched roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays with 2-bay gabled return west and later rear addition, north. Timbers in small framing with angle braces. East gable rebuilt in brickwork. Replaced mullion windows with lead lattice casements. Replaced oak boarded door, with false strap hinges, in original oak frame. Timber eaves gutters. Interior: Dado level oak panelling with Jacobean fluted frieze, boarded doors with strap hinges, inglenook, bevelled beams and bevelled exposed ceiling joists.
