Mansion, mid nineteenth century. Red brick, in Flemish Bond, with slate roof, in Jacobean style. Two-storey, three-bay gabled entrance front with three-bay return (west) and service wing (east). Moulded stone plinth band, flush stone dressing and moulded first floor level cornice. Large projecting entrance porch, mainly of stone, with Jacobean style pilasters flanking entrance and side windows. Double ovolo moulded surround to entrance has flattened elliptical arch with keystone. Heavy oak panelled external door and three-quarter glazed vestibule screen. The porch has a flat roof with stone open-work parapet. Stone ovolo moulded mullion and transome windows with wider cornice, with corbels over ground floor windows. Outer bays are gabled and timbered with stone consoles below apex bressumers. The east bay has a projecting, stone dressed, stack cutting through the apex timbers. The centre bay fronts a low ridge with cross window, surmounted by strapwork feature in Gothic arched, coped gable, with stone crowning and flanking finials. Cast iron rain water heads flanking centre bay carry the initials T.B.
The west elevation has a corbel table supporting the widened cornice over three ground floor windows and a large hexagonal stone bay with its lights flanked by Jacobean pilasters. There is a matching stone bay, similarly placed, in the east elevation. The service wing (east) has loggia of 5 bays supporting a timber-framed, plaster-panelled upper storey. The main chimney stack has separated octagonal and square flues. The ridge is of crested tiles.
