Description
HANKELOW C.P. (Off) AUDLEM ROAD SJ 64 NE 4/45 Hankelow Mill 13-10-75 - II Mill, now two houses. Early C19. Red Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. Three storeys and attic. Entrance front: gable end of three bays with central double doorway to first floor approached by a flight of C20 steps. To either side of this are cast iron window frames of 6 x 6 panes with cambered heads which are bowed outwards as the result of a fire. To the floor above are two C20 single-light casement windows and to the gable is a loft door, with a hoist before. The left hand side is of two builds, the left hand side being of mid/late C19 date. To the right are 6 bays with two ground floor windows of cast iron and 6 x 6 panes with six 2-light casement windows to the first floor. The left hand addition is of three bays. The right hand side is similar and at the rear is a C20 bowed projection.
