Description

SJ 68 SE 3/5 ANTROBUS C.P. CROWLEY Crowley Green Cottage GV II Cottage probably early C17 altered by the Arley estate later C19. Brick-nogged oak small framing, partly rebuilt in local brick, on flush sandstone plinth; clay tile roof. 1 storey plus attic bedrooms; 3 rooms plus later rear wing, left. Full cruck in right gable end. Door and windows replaced, in keeping, in unaltered openings. Later C19 gabled open porch on brackets; central gabled dormer has 3-light window with moulded brick mullions. Flush gable chimney right; ridge chimney between central and left rooms. Interior: Lobby-entrance plan with altered inglenook in central room; 3 unstopped ovolo beams in central room; other oak beams; stair altered; HL hinges; wattle and daub partition between central and right room.
