Description
BOSTOCK C.P. (Off) BOSTOCK ROAD SJ 66 NE 5/11 Walls of walled garden to north west of Bostock 23.4.81 Hall. GV II Kitchen garden walls. C18 with C19 and C20 additions and alterations. Red English garden wall bond brick rendered in places and with ashlar dressings. Rectangular enclosure walls of C. 10'-14' in height, with ashlar and cement blocks as coping. North western wall rebuilt in late C19 with range of outhouses to outer face and central gateway which appears on the inner face as a cambered headed opening with stucco surround grooved in simulation of chamfered rustication. Ramped gable over and semi-circular top and patera to centre. Central gateways to other three sides each with substantial C20 square brick piers capped by reset stone balls. The walls are ashlared to their outer lower faces save for the north western wall.
