MANLEY SJ 57 SW Pair of Cottages at Crossley East Hosp 1184/3/10009 ital 07-AUG-00 GV II Pair of cottages for staff at Crossley East Hospital. 1902-04. Red brick, with terracotta dressings and plain tile roofs with shaped coped gables and gable stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Windows are mainly original glazing bar casements. In the centre, 2 canted bay windows, 4 lights. Above, shaped coped gables, pebbledashed, each with a 3-light casement. Beyond, on each side, a half- glazed door and sidelight, under a catslide roof Returns have single and double windows on each floor, and pebbledashed gables. At the rear, on each side, single storey gabled outbuildings forming wings. INTERIOR: not accessible at time of survey. Listing NGR: SJ5279173362
