FIFTY-EIGHTH LIST OF BUILDINGS OF SPECIAL ARCHITECTURAL OR HISTORIC INTEREST COMPILED UNDER SECTION 54 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1971 ACTON BRIDGE C.P. CHAPEL LANE SJ 57 NE (West Side) 1/1 Ash House - II Farmhouse: early-mid C19 with some later additions. White pointed Flemish bond red brick, Welsh slate roof and 2 gable brick chimneys. Double-pile plan. 2-storey, symmetrical, 3-bay front. Stone plinth, cill band at 1st floor and projecting eaves. End bays have recessed 12-pane sashes with slender glazing bars, under flat gauged and rubbed brick heads and with stone sills. Central bay has rebated gauged and rubbed brick elliptical arched surround to fluted Doric doorcase with a pair of doors with small pane glazing. Fanlight with radial glazing bars. Canted bays to either side may be additions. Interior: not inspected. Listing NGR: SJ5871675507
