2/14 Myddleton Hall Farmhouse 9/8/1966 II Also known as Delph Farm. Farmhouse, 1656, extended probably C18 and altered mid C19 and (to minor extent) mid C20. Brown brick with flush stone quoins and stone-slate roof. The oldest part is of 3 storeys with gable to road, with short staircase-wing to left; set back to left is a longer late C17 or C18 2-storey wing of 1 room, with grey slate roof. 2 chimneys. The 3-storey right wing has 1 window to each storey in front gable: the lowest is a 3-light small-pane casement, the middle one a casement (lower part replaced) with iron lattice panes in upper part, the upper one a small-pane (probably leaded) 2-light casement with mid C19 lattice panes above; the 3 windows are under skewback arches. The stair-wing has a round arched window with mullion and transome of wood. The left gable of stair-wing has a small-pane 2-light attic window under a projecting relieving arch of brick, towards front, and a blocked window with label towards rear, with an open cross of projecting brick above. The recessed left wing has a boarded door in inner corner with a replaced casement to lower storey, left, and a small-pane 3-light casement to each storey further left. A cast iron lattice casement is in lower storey of left end gable (c.f. Ivy House, Delph Lane). In the right side of the right wing is one small-pane horizontal sliding sash to each of lower and middle storeys. Interior. 2 ovolo oak beams in left parlour; an altered ingle-nook in rear room, right; a dog-leg oak stair, probably C17, with plain splat balusters to landing.
