Cottage late C17, formerly timber framed now C18 lime washed bricks with thatched roof and plain brick stacks. Three bays, single storey with attic, gable to highway. Three 2 light small-paned horizontal sliding sash windows and panelled front door. Internally exposed sandstone fireplace wall, cruck trusses, oak wallplates with mortices and trenail holes, bevelled beams and heavy floor joists, a sleeping loft with simple ladder access, bevelled purlins and early rafters.
